The port of Shakhtersk on Sakhalin Island has handled its first Capesize bulker. The Marshall Islands flagged 206,000 dwt 300 m LOA “Mineral Yang Fan” has become the largest vessel the port served in its history.
The vessel arrived at the port on April 15 to take a cargo of coal at the roadstead. Shakhtersk is capable of loading vessels with a deadweight of up to 300,000 tons at the roadstead.
