OMZ-Special Steels, part of Russia’s OMZ Group, has shipped a set of rings for four steam generators for the fourth unit of the Xudapu nuclear power station under construction in China.
Four rings are required for each steam generator, two central and to side ones, the central rings measure 2.5 m in height, and the side ones 3.2 m. The diameter of the rings is 4.5 m, the walls are up to 145 mm thick. A set of four rings weighs about 175 tons.
OMZ-Special Steels has made 16 rings for four steam generators under a contract with AEM-Technology, part of Rosatom Concern.
The company is also engaged in making equipment for power stations in Turkey, Bangladesh, India, and China.
