According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during 2020 Russia exported 2.7 mn tons of unwrought aluminum, down 1.6% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export declined by 9.1% year-on-year down to $4.2 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export grew by 10.5% year-on-year making 775.8 thousand tons worth $4.6 bn, up 12.2% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in 2020 increased by 1% year-on-year amounting to 135.5 thousand tons worth $1.9 bn, up 1.2% year-on-year.
In December 2020, unwrought aluminum export made 259.8 thousand tons, up 32.3% year-on-year and down 25.6% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export grew by 10.5% year-on-year and declined by 22.7% month-on-month to make $392 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was up 85.3% year-on-year and up 6.4% month-on-month to 118.9 thousand tons worth $850.8 mn, up 2.3-fold year-on-year and up 17.9% month-on-month.
Unwrought nickel export in December was up 2.4-fold year-on-year and up 2.6-fold month-on-month to 29.5 thousand tons. In terms of value, it surged 2.8-fold both year-on-year and month-on-month to make $473.2 mn.
