According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during 2020 Russia exported 13.7 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, down 4.7% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export declined by 14.2% down to $2.5 bn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 10.9 mn tons, up 0.6% year-on-year. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export decreased by 13.4% down to over $2.7 bn.
Potash fertilizers export during 2020 grew by 1.8% up to more than 9.6 mn tons. In terms of value, it declined by 23.9% down to $1.8 bn.
In December, nitric fertilizers export decreased by 12.4% year-on-year and surged by 68% month-on-month making 1.4 mn tons worth $273 mn (down 5.5% year-on-year and up 75.6% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export increased by 4.9% year-on-year and by 37.3% month-on-month to make 1.1 mn tons worth $302.6 mn, up 14.1% year-on-year and up 46.2% month-on-month.
Potash fertilizers export made over 922.6 thousand tons, down 37.7% year-on-year and up 17.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, it decreased by 47.8% year-on-year and grew by 25.4% month-on-month to make $173.9 mn.
