Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg has put into operation a new 63-ton Vityaz crane. The new piece of equipment is used to handle ferrous metals.
It can handle 60-ton slabs and heavy reefer containers weighing up to 40 tons, and use spreaders, electric magnets and grapples, a spokesperson for the port told SeaNews.
The new crane is a third Vityaz deployed in Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg, the two units purchased earlier have a capacity of 40 tons each.
In 2020, the company also put into operation a 84-ton mobile Liebherr crane and modernized two of its 40-ton portal Kondor cranes.
