According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-November Russia exported 33.7 mn tons of wheat and meslin, up 21.7% year-on-year. In terms of value, grain export increased by 20.2% up to more than $7 bn.
Wheat import into Russia during January-November 2020 declined by 9.7% down to 147.7 thousand tons. Corn import, on the contrary, grew by 28% up to 46.6 thousand tons. Barley import made 45.7 thousand tons decreasing 5.6% year-on-year.
In terms of value, wheat import was up 19.1% to $48.1 mn. Corn import grew by 20.6% to $116.4 mn, barley import by 30.2% up to $6.9 mn.
In November 2020, wheat and meslin export made 4.3 mn tons, up 59.3% year-on-year and down 6.3% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 83.5% year-on-year and by 1.1% month-on-month to make $963.1 mn.
Wheat import in November made 43.1 thousand tons, up 88.2% year-on-year and up 2.4-fold month-on-month. Value-wise, wheat import surged 2.2-fold year-on-year and 2.5-fold month-on-month up to $14.6 bn
Corn import grew by 85.7% year-on-year and surged 13-fold month-on-month making 1.3 thousand tons. In terms of value, it was up 2-fold year-on-year and up 19-fold month-on-month to make $3.8 mn.
Barley import made 7.7 thousand tons, up 14.7% year-on-year and down 30.6% month-on-month, worth $1.1 mn, down 15.4% year-on-year and down 21.4% month-on-month.
