According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, Russia’s car import in January-October 2020 was down 26.1% year-on-year to 185.2 thousand units. Truck import during the first 10 months of the year declined by 24.7% year-on-year down to 17.7 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import during January-October decreased by 31.8% year-on-year down to $4.1 bn. Truck import dropped by 42.8% down to $909.3 mn.
According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in October 2020, car import was up 20.5% year-on-year and up 35.3% month-on-month to make 31.8 thousand units. Truck import made 2.8 thousand units, up 7.7% year-on-year and up 12% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car import decreased by 6.1% year-on-year and grew by 25.8% month-on-month to make $633.4 mn in October. Truck import was worth $137 mn, down 6.4% year-on-year and up 10.1% month-on-month.
Russia’s car export in January-October 2020 was down 45.5% year-on-year to 51.4 thousand units. Truck export declined by 16.8% making 9.4 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 43.4% year-on-year amounting to $771.2 mn. Truck export decreased by 14.3% to make $248 mn.
In October, car export declined by 40.2% year-on-year and grew by 27.1% month-on-month making 6.1 thousand units. Truck export made 1 thousand units, down 16.7% year-on-year and down 16.7% month-on-month .
In terms of value, car export in October decreased by 39.8% year-on-year and grew by 24.4% month-on-month to make $89.1 mn. Truck export was worth $24.7 mn, down 19.3% year-on-year and down 33.6% month-on-month.
