First Russian Built Aframax Delivered

  • Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex in the Russian Far East has delivered the first Aframax tanker built in Russia to the customer, Rosnefteflot, a shipping and port subsidiary of Russia’s oil major Rosneft.

    “Vladimir Monomakh” is the lead ship in the series under construction for Rosnefteflot. The vessels are designed for transporting oil and products in an unlimited navigation area.

    The first tanker has successfully passed the sea trials and is to leave the yard for her maiden voyage soon.

    The 114,000 dwt ICE-IA vessel measures 205 m LOA and 44 m beam and has a speed of 14.6 knots. The tanker has a sauna, a swimming pool, a gym, and high-speed internet on board, each crew member will have a separate cabin.
