Продуктовый импорт, 9 месяцев 2020: в сентябре значительно увеличились поставки сахара-сырца

Food Products Import in January-September 2020: Raw Sugar Import Up in September

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-September 2020 fresh and frozen meat import was down 30.6% to 197.6 thousand tons. Fresh and frozen poultry import increased by 3.9% up to 171.8 thousand tons. Fish import decreased by 7% down to 260 thousand tons. Canned meat and meat specialties import grew by 21.4% up to 15.3 thousand tons.

    Milk and condensed cream import was down 16.3% to 113.7 thousand tons. Butter import increased by 12.8% amounting to 98.4 thousand tons. Cheese import grew by 13.5% up to 224.1 thousand tons.

    Palm oil import was down 1% to 749.9 thousand tons.

    Citrus fruit import was down 6.2% to 943.6 thousand tons. Banana import increased by 1.1% up to 1.1 mn tons, and apple import by 6.2% up to 781.7 thousand tons.

    Raw sugar import declined by 2% down to 4.9 thousand tons, white sugar import dropped by 44% down to 119.4 thousand tons.

    Coffee import in January-September grew by 3.6% up to 171.1 thousand tons, and tea import by 3.8% up to 114.6 thousand tons.

    In September, the following categories demonstrated a year-on-year decline in import volumes: palm oil (down 5.6% to 82.9 thousand tons), fresh and frozen meat (down 21.3% to 22.5 thousand tons), milk and condensed cream (down 9.9% to 12.7 thousand tons) and white sugar (down 73.1% to 8.3 thousand tons). Other food products import was up.

    Compared to August 2020, the import of banana, fish, cheese, fresh and frozen meat, white sugar and raw sugar increased, the rest of the food product categories under report were down.

    In September, coffee import grew by 1.6% year-on-year and declined by 10.1% month-on-month to make 18.6 thousand tons. Tea import was up 11.9% year-on-year and up 1.5% month-on-month to 13.2 thousand tons.
