According to the RF Federal Customs Service, Russia’s crude oil export in January-September 2020 was down 9% year-on-year to 179.7 mn tons. In terms of value, crude oil export decreased by 36.9% year-on-year making $54.6 bn.
Oil products export grew by 1.9% up to 106.9 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 30.4% to $34.7 bn.
Diesel fuel export made 40.9 mn tons in terms of tonnage (+6.8% year-on-year) and $15.4 bn in terms of value (-23.8%).
Petrol export in January-September 2020 increased by 40.1% year-on-year up to 4.8 thousand tons worth about $1.8 bn, down 3.3%.
In September, Russia exported 18.4 mn tons of crude, down 17.3% year-on-year and up 18.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, crude oil export declined by 45.2% year-on-year and grew by 15.8% month-on-month to make $5.3 bn.
Oil products export decreased by 16.8% year-on-year and increased by 33.9% month-on-month to make 10.9 mn tons worth $3.3 bn (down 43.7% year-on-year and up 42.9% month-on-month).
Diesel fuel export made 4.1 mn tons (down 9.5% year-on-year and up 46% month-on-month) worth $1.4 bn (down 45.9% year-on-year and up 49% month-on-month).
Car petrol export in September grew by 16.8% year-on-year and by 16.5% month-on-month making 387.8 thousand tons worth $111.1 mn, down 40.7% year-on-year and up 11.8% month-on-month.
Natural gas export in January-September 2020 amounted to 139.9 bn cbm, down 12.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, it also declined, by 47.7% down to $16.2 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export increased by 18% year-on-year up to 55 mn cbm, its value was down 5.3% to $5.9 bn.
In September, natural gas export made 16 bn cbm, down 2.4% year-on-year and down 6.9% month-on-month. Value-wise, it was worth $2 bn, down 26.5% year-on-year and up 23.7% month-on-month.
LNG export amounted to 6.6 mn cbm declining by 1.5% year-on-year and increasing by 6.5% month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export decreased by 39.8% year-on-year and by 18.3% month-on-month making $446.1 mn.
