Экспорт черных металлов, 9 месяцев 2020: в сентябре вывоз металлопроката и чугуна увеличился

Ferrous Metals Export in January-September 2020: Flat Section and Cast Iron Export Up in September

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-September 2020 Russia exported 29.8 mn tons of ferrous metals, down 3.5% year-on-year. In terms of value, ferrous metals export declined by 17.3% down to $11.7 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was down 7.8% year-on-year to some 10.1 mn tons. In terms of value, it decreased by 21.4% down to $3.7 bn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in January-September 2020 increased by 10% year-on-year up to 5.7 mn tons worth over $2.7 bn, down 8.7%.

    Cast iron export declined by 14.8% year-on-year down to 2.9 mn tons worth $899.1 mn, down 23.9%.

    Ferroalloys export during the 9 months 2020 decreased by 11.2% year-on-year down to 551.4 thousand tons worth $662 mn (-31%).

    According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, in September 2020 ferrous metals export was up 18.2% year-on-year and up 13.9% month-on-month to 3.3 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew by 2.2% year-on-year and by 18.3% month-on-month to make $1.3 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export in September 2020 was down 21.9% year-on-year and up 9.1% month-on-month making 911.5 thousand tons. In terms of value, it decreased by 28% year-on-year and grew by 17.2% month-on-month to $343.5 mn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export was up 38.2% year-on-year and up 26.8% month-on-month making 748.9 thousand tons worth $348.7 mn (up 19.7% year-on-year and up 25.5% month-on-month).

    Cast iron export made 478.4 thousand tons, up 19.7% year-on-year and up 11.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, it amounted to $144.8 mn, up 8.5% year-on-year and up 10.5% month-on-month.

    Ferroalloy export in September 2020 was down 4.6% year-on-year and up 7% month-on-month to 62.6 thousand tons. In terms of value, it declined by 29.2% year-on-year and grew by 4.4% month-on-month to make $66 mn.
