According to the RF Federal Customs Service, Russia’s crude oil export in January-August 2020 was down 7.9% year-on-year to 159.8 mn tons. In terms of value, crude oil export dropped by 38.9% year-on-year making $48.8 bn.
Oil products export increased by 1.9% up to 93.5 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 30.9% to $30.4 bn.
Diesel fuel export made 34.8 mn tons in terms of tonnage (+3.5% year-on-year) and $13.3 bn in terms of value (-29.8%).
Petrol export in January-August 2020 increased by 39.4% year-on-year up to 4.3 mn tons worth about $1.7 bn, down 3%.
In August, Russia exported 15.5 mn tons of crude, down 33.3% year-on-year and down 11.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, crude oil export declined by 55.2% year-on-year and by 4.4% month-on-month to make $4.6 bn.
Oil products export decreased by 22.5% year-on-year and by 22.2% month-on-month to make 8.2 mn tons worth $2.3 bn (down 53.5% year-on-year and down 13.1% month-on-month).
Diesel fuel export made 2.8 mn tons (down 30.2% year-on-year and down 32.6% month-on-month) worth $907.3 mn (down 59.7% year-on-year and down 23.9% month-on-month).
Car petrol export in August grew by 14.4% year-on-year and by 14.4% month-on-month making 333 thousand tons worth $99.4 mn, down 41.1% year-on-year and up 15% month-on-month.
Natural gas export during January-August 2020 amounted to 123.3 bn cbm, down 14% year-on-year. In terms of value, it also declined, by 49.6% down to $14.3 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export 2020 increased by 21.3% year-on-year up to 48.4 mn cbm, its value was down 0.6% to $5.5 bn.
In August, natural gas export made 17.2 bn cbm, up 4.2% year-on-year and up 38.7% month-on-month. Value-wise, it was worth $1.6 bn, down 40.4% year-on-year and up 48.9% month-on-month.
LNG export amounted to 6.2 mn cbm grew by 10.7% year-on-year and decreased by 33.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export declined by 0.7% year-on-year and by 45.6% month-on-month making $545.9 mn.
