Экспорт черных металлов, 8 месяцев 2020: увеличился вывоз металлопроката

Ferrous Metals Export in January-August 2020: Flat Section Export Up

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-August 2020 Russia exported 26.5 mn tons of ferrous metals, down 5.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, ferrous metals export declined by 19.2% down to $10.4 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was down 5.9% year-on-year to some 9.2 mn tons. In terms of value, it decreased by 20.6% down to $3.3 bn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in January-August 2020 increased by 6.8% year-on-year up to 4.9 mn tons worth $2.9 bn, down 11.9%.

    Cast iron export during the 8 months 2020 declined by 19.4% year-on-year down to 2.4 mn tons worth over $753 mn, down 28.2%.

    Ferroalloys export decreased by 11.9% year-on-year down to 488.8 thousand tons worth $596 mn (-31.2%).

    According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, in August 2020 ferrous metals export was down 7.5% year-on-year and down 4.7% month-on-month to 2.9 mn tons. In terms of value, it declined by 19.1% year-on-year and by 2.3% month-on-month to make $1.1 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was up 61.9% year-on-year and up 25.4% month-on-month making 835.7 thousand tons. In terms of value, it decreased by 29.2% year-on-year and grew by 32.9% month-on-month to $293.2 mn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in August 2020 was down 41.1% year-on-year and down 12% month-on-month making 590.7 thousand tons worth $277.9 mn (down 5.9% year-on-year and down 10.7% month-on-month).

    Cast iron export made 427.7 thousand tons, up 6.1% year-on-year and up 51.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, it amounted to $131 mn, down 0.8% year-on-year and up 45.4% month-on-month.

    Ferroalloy export in August 2020 was down 3.3% year-on-year and down 8% month-on-month to 58.5 thousand tons. In terms of value, it declined by 32.3% year-on-year and by 11.5% month-on-month to make $63.2 mn.
