Экспорт и импорт зерновых: 8 месяцев 2020,  вывоз пшеницы к июлю увеличился в 2 раза

Grain Export and Import in January-August 2020

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-August Russia exported 19.7 mn tons of wheat and meslin, up 6.7% year-on-year. In terms of value, grain export increased by 8.9% up to $4.2 bn.

    Wheat import into Russia during January-August 2020 declined by 36.7% down to 77.4 thousand tons. Corn import, on the contrary, grew by 64% up to 45.1 thousand tons. Barley import made 20.7 thousand tons surging 4.3-fold year-on-year.

    In terms of value, wheat import was down 13.9% to $24.8 mn. Corn import was up 19.1% to $111.6 mn, barley import surged 2.1-fold up to $3.5 mn.

    In August 2020 alone, wheat and meslin export made 4.7 mn tons, down 4.5% year-on-year and up 2-fold month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 5.3% year-on-year and surged 2.1-fold month-on-month to make $967.1 mn.

    Wheat import in August made 10.2 thousand tons, up 37.8% year-on-year and up 47.8% month-on-month. Value-wise, wheat import increased by 82.4% year-on-year and by 24% month-on-month up to $3.1 bn

    Corn import surged 9-fold year-on-year and grew by 92.9% month-on-month making 2.7 thousand tons. In terms of value, it increased by 33.3% year-on-year and was up 2-fold month-on-month to make $0.4 mn.

    Barley import made 4.1 thousand tons, up 6.8-fold year-on-year and down 24.1% month-on-month, worth $500 thousand, up 5-fold year-on-year and down 16.7% month-on-month.
