During January-July 2020 Russia’s export of sawn goods made more than 11.1 mn tons, down 4.8% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was down 5% making over $2.5 bn.
Logs export decreased by 10.5% year-on-year down to some 8 mn cbm worth $550.6 mn, down 16.7% year-on-year.
Plywood export increased by 2.4% year-on-year to make 1.6 mn cbm worth $660.8 mn, down 4.3% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in January-July 2020 amounted to 1.3 mn tons, up 6.5% year-on-year worth $553.7 mn, down 16.9% year-on-year.
Newsprint export in January-July 2020 made 669.2 thousand tons, down 7.3% year-on-year, worth $228.1 mn, down 34.5% year-on-year.
In July, sawn goods export made 1.9 mn tons, up 5.2% year-on-year and up 1.5% month-on-month worth $421.8 mn, up 2.3% year-on-year and up 0.5% month-on-month.
Logs export made 1.6 mn cbm, up 17% year-on-year and up 18.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 17% year-on-year and by 18.2% month-on-month to make $103.5 mn.
Plywood export in July made 224.9 thousand cbm, up 15.4% year-on-year and down 0.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, it declined by 10.2% year-on-year and by 1.7% month-on-month making to $91.1 mn.
Wood pulp export amounted to 191.6 thousand tons, up 15.4% year-on-year and down 0.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export increased by 0.1% year-on-year and declined by 2.5% month-on-month to make $86.1 mn.
Newsprint export decreased by 12.9% year-on-year and grew by 0.8% month-on-month to make 88.6 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was down 33.4% year-on-year and down 1.3% month-to-month to $29.3 mn.
