According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, Russia’s car import in January-July 2020 was down 35% year-on-year to 111.2 thousand units. Truck import during the first 7 months of the year declined by 37% year-on-year down to 10.2 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import during January-July decreased by 44.1% year-on-year down to $2.5 bn. Truck import dropped by 52% down to $565.8 mn.
According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in July 2020, car import was down 37.8% year-on-year and up 1.8% month-on-month to 17.1 thousand units. Truck import made 1.8 thousand units, down 28% year-on-year, but up 12.5% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car import decreased by 50.4% year-on-year and grew by 11.8% month-on-month to make $358.9 mn in June. Truck import was worth $97.3 mn, down 34.1% year-on-year and up 28.5% month-on-month.
Russia’s car export in January-July 2020 was down 43.3% year-on-year to 36.6 thousand units. Truck export declined by 12.3% making 6.4 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 40.1% year-on-year amounting to $549.7 mn. Truck export decreased by 11.9% to make $166.2 mn.
In July, car export declined by 40% year-on-year, but increased by 5.3% month-on-month to make 6 thousand units. Truck export made 700 units, down 36.4% year-on-year and down 61.1% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car export in July decreased by 42.9% year-on-year and by 16.7% month-on-month to $87.9 mn. Truck export was worth $18.9 mn, up 43.6% year-on-year and down 36.6% month-on-month.
