According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-June 2020 Russia exported some 1.1 mn tons of unwrought aluminum, down 33.5% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export dropped by 36.7% year-on-year down to $1.8 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export declined by 4.9% year-on-year making 323.5 thousand tons worth $1.7 bn, down 16.7% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in January-June 2020 decreased by 35.9% year-on-year amounting to 45.7 thousand tons worth $564.7 mn, down 35.3% year-on-year.
In June, unwrought aluminum export made 248.3 thousand tons, down 4.3 year-on-year, but up 84.1% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export declined by 9.1% year-on-year and surged by 82.6% month-on-month to make $397.1 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was up 2-fold year-on-year and up 81.6% month-on-month to 75 thousand tons worth $386.2 mn, up 96.5% year-on-year and up 90.4% month-on-month.
Unwrought nickel export in June was down 13% year-on-year and up 2.9-fold month-on-month to 12 thousand tons. In terms of value, it declined by 14.3% year-on-year, but surged 2.9-fold month-on-month to make $141.5 mn.
