During January-June 2020, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union decreased by 24.7% year-on-year down to 87.8 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was down 8.5% during the 6 months 2020 making 37.8 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union dropped by 33.6% down to 50 bn euro.
Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia also ranks the fifth after China, the USA, the UK and Switzerland.
