According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-May 2020 Russia’s export of vodka declined both in physical terms and value-wise.
It made 661.9 thousand decalitres scaled down to 100% spirit, down 13.8% year-on-year, physically, and $44.7 mn, down 18.9%, in terms of value.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import during January-May decreased by 6.7% year-on-year to make $941.7 mn.
Cigarettes and cigars import in January-May declined by 0.8% down to $23.6 mn.
In May, Russia exported 143.9 thousand decalitres of vodka, down 4.6% year-on-year and up 3.6% month-on-month, worth $9.1 mn, down 15.7% year-on-year and up 23% month-on-month.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import in May was down 26.3% year-on-year and down 18.9% month-on-month to $157.1 mn.
Cigarettes and cigars import in May was down 28.6% year-on-year, but up 8.1% month-on-month to $4 mn.
