Black Sea Freight Market, Week 27, 2020

  • During week 27, freight rates for shipping wheat and coal by Handysize bulkers from Russian and Ukrainian Black Sea ports increased.

    According to Glogos Project shipbrokers, freight rates for shipping wheat by 10,000 dwt Handysize bulkers from Novorossiysk / Tuapse to East Med made $15 pmt, and those for 25,000 dwt bulkers were $14 pmt.

    Freight rates from Odessa / Chernomorsk to East Med made $15 pmt for 10,000 dwt bulkers and $13 pmt for 25,000 dwt bulkers. Freight rates for wheat from Nikolaev to East Med were $17 pmt for 10,000 dwt ships and $13 pmt for 25,000 dwt ships.

    Freight rates for mineral fertilizers from Novorossiysk / Tuapse to East Med were $20 pmt for 10,000 vessels and $15 pmt for 25,000 dwt vessels.

    Freight rates for coal from Novorossiysk / Tuapse to ARAG made $23 pmt.
