DP World has acquired 51% in TIS Container Terminal Ukraine operating in the port of Yuzhny (Pivdenniy), TIS has reported in its official account in social media.

TIS-CT completed the berth construction, has been equipped with new facilities, developed related services and boosted cargo turnover. Our efforts were paid off. The Container terminal entered the world’s largest group, which means we will get access to innovations, IT solutions, expertise and many other benefits. The arrival of DP World is a huge step not only for Ukrainian transport industry, but for the whole country. This is a quality seal for the country’s investor climate and a promise for further growth,’ TIS said.
According to DP World, the deal is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions, including regulatory approval. ‘The acquisition is in line with DP World’s strategy to develop data-driven integrated logistics solutions for moving cargo from the point of manufacture to final destination, deploying technology to remove inefficiencies in the supply chain, and focusing on fast-growing markets and key trade routes,’ DP World said in a statement.
