Новороссийск снижает темпы, Приморск наращивает

NSCP Group Throughput Up 3.7%

  • The aggregate throughput of the stevedoring companies incorporated in Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group made 109.8 mn tons during January-October 2019 growing by 3.7% year-on-year.

    Novorossiysk-based assets of the group (these include Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port proper, Novoroslesexport, Importpishscheprom, Novorossiysk Shiprepair Yard and Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal, a joint venture with Chernomorskie Main Pipeline Company) handled 68.4 mn tons, down 4.6% year-on-year.

    Throughput via Baltiysk (Baltic Stevedore Co) grew both in terms of TEU (+32.3%) and tonnage (+20.6%). Primorsk was up 16.7% to 51.9 mn tons.

    Liquid bulk, which accounts for the largest share in the aggregate throughput of the Group, increased by 16.1% year-on-year up to 97.4 mn tons.

    Consolidated crude oil traffic via Novorossiysk and Primorsk grew by 22.8% up to 67.4 mn tons, including 26.9 mn tons via Novorossiysk (up 15.9% year-on-year) and 40.7 mn tons via Primorsk (up 27.9%).

    Combined oil products volume increased by 3.3% up to 29.1 mn tons. Novorossiysk (where Importpishscheprom, Sheskharis, and Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal operate) was up 15.4% to 17.9 mn tons, while Primorsk was down 11.5% to 11.2 mn tons.

    Solid bulk dropped 46.8% down to 7.9 mn tons due to no more grain export after NCSP sold Novorossiysk Grain Terminal. Coal was up 10%% to 1.4 mn tons due to improved foreign market conditions, ore cargoes increased by 25.3% down to 2.5 mn tons.

    Chemicals were up 24.3% to 568 thousand tons, raw sugar up 3.2-fold to 503 thousand tons, while grain dropped by 75.3% to 2.6 mn tons and ore cargoes other than iron ore declined by 1.5% down to 276 thousand tons.

    General cargo declined by 13.3% down to 10.8 mn tons. Ferrous metals were down 13.8% to 9.6 mn tons, timber and timber and logs down 4.3% to 250 thousand tons. Non-ferrous metals were up 3.4% to 854 thousand tons. Perishables dropped by 75.6% down to 40 thousand tons

    Container throughput declined in Novorossiysk and grew in Baltiysk.
