According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total container throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-October 2019 amounted to 4.4 mn TEU. Five terminals handled 2.3 mn TEU or 52.6% of this volume.
Container Terminal St. Petersburg remains the leader in terms of container throughput. Its container traffic increased by 5.6% up to 643.3 thousand TEU.
First Container Terminal saw its container traffic grow by 6.5% up to 543.7 thousand TEU.
Container traffic via Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP) amounted to 510.5 thousand TEU, up 13.9% year-on-year.
Container throughput via Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company decreased by 6.4% down to 325.5 thousand TEU.
NUTEP handled 299.5 thousand TEU, up 14.5% year-on-year.

It should be noted that the stevedores which demonstrated the highest growth did not get into the Top 5. Sea Port of the Troitsa Bay (Zarubino) saw its container traffic surge 5-fold, Arctic Consulting Service (Arkhangelsk) was up 2.6-fold, Prostor DV (Sovetskaya Gavan) was up 2.2-fold.
The largest decrease in container traffic was in Tiksi Sea Port (-85.4%), Mobi Dik (-84.9%) and Federal Directorate for Construction under the Presidential Administrative Department in the Far Eastern Federal District (Vladivostok) (-73.8%).
