According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-September 2019 Russia’s export of vodka grew both in physical terms and value-wise.
It made 1.5 mn decalitres scaled down to 100% spirit, up 4.1% year-on-year, physically, and $107.5 mn, up 8%, in terms of value.
In September, Russia exported 211.2 thousand decalitres, down 11.7% year-on-year and down 2.3% month-on-month, worth $14.6 mn, down 17% year-on-year and up 3.5% month-on-month.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import during January-September grew by 9.6% year-on-year to exceed $2 bn.
In September, it was up 29.3% year-on-year and up 10.8% month-on-month to $270 mn.
Cigarettes and cigars import in January-September dropped by 58.8% down to $46.3 mn.
In September, it was down 62.2% year-on-year and up 4.4% month-on-month to $4.7 mn.
