According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total container throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-September 2019 amounted to 4 mn TEU. Five terminals handled 2.1 mn TEU or 52.4% of this volume.
Container Terminal St. Petersburg remains the leader of container throughput. Its container traffic increased by 5.7% up to 581.6 thousand TEU.
First Container Terminal saw its container traffic grow by 6.5% up to 486.7 thousand TEU.
Container traffic via Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP) amounted to 449.9 thousand TEU, up 14.5% year-on-year.
Container throughput via Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company decreased by 6.6% down to 292.2 thousand TEU.
NUTEP handled 266.5 thousand TEU, up 11.3% year-on-year.

It should be noted that the stevedores which demonstrated the highest growth did not get into the Top 5. Sea Port of the Troitsa Bay (Zarubino) saw its container traffic surge 4.9-fold, Prostor DV (Sovetskaya Gavan) was up 3.8-fold, Arctic Consulting Service (Arkhangelsk) was up 2.8-fold.
The largest decrease in container traffic was in Tiksi Sea Port (-86.1%), Mobi Dik (-84.1%) and Federal Directorate for Construction under the Presidential Administrative Department in the Far Eastern Federal District (Vladivostok) (-82.2%).
