FESCO has launched a new block train from Khabarovsk Kray in the Russian Far East to Harbin in Heilongjiang Province in China.
The train is routed from the rail station of Mylki via the Grodekovo / Suifenhe border crossing. The transit time is 10 days.
The first train carrying 36 40’ units arrived at Suifenhe in mid-August, there the containers were loaded onto Chinese platforms with a 1435-mm gauge and left for Harbin.
The train service frequency will be twice a month, to be expanded in future to four times a month.
The cargo flow is mainly timber and woodwork.
