In May 2019, container traffic via Russia’s Arctic region sea ports declined by 23.7% year-on-year. Cabotage, which accounts for the major share of the total, was down 25.2%, while export surged 9.6-fold.
Murmansk
Cabotage that constitutes the major share of container traffic via Murmansk declined by 22.8% year-on-year in May. Export surged 14.4-fold. The total container throughput was down 18.4% year-on-year.

Arkhangelsk
Container traffic via Arkhangelsk dropped by 49.1% year-on-year in May 2019. All of the volume was cabotage, which declined 48.9%. Last year the port had some export traffic in May, this year Arkhangelsk handled only cabotage containers.

Dudinka
Cabotage container traffic via Dudinka declined by 17.2% year-on-year in May.
