United Transport Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance (UTLC ERA) signed a Memorandum of understanding with the logistics terminal Consorzio ZAI Interporto Quadrante Europa (Verona) and Rostock Port GmbH.
The partners intend to launch a multimodal service between China and Europe. Cargo will be delivered from Verona to Rostock and loaded on board vessels to carry them to Kaliningrad, and from there on rail for transportation to China.
According to Alexey Grom, President of UTLC ERA, Kaliningrad can now handle 8 block trains a day.
