UTLC ERA (United Transport Logistics Company – Eurasian Rail Alliance) in cooperation with Belorussian Belintertrans, a subsidiary of Belorussian Railway, has launched container rail service to deliver dairy products from Belarus to China.
During January-April 2019, 64 container were carried. 23 reefer units laden with milk and cream were delivered from Brest to Zhengzhou, Chongqing, and Wuhan. 41 dry container were transported from Kolyadichi station to Chongqing.
The transit time is 12 days. Both block trains and separate shipments as part of transit trains are possible.
The very first container train with dairy products (milk and cream) departed from Kolyadichi to Chengdu in October 2018 as part of the Green Stream project initiated by UTLC ERA and Belintertrans.
According to Alexey Grom, President of UTLC ERA, the company is currently working on organizing regular service to ship Belorussian goods to China.
