According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-March 2019 Russia’s export of vodka grew both in physical terms and value-wise.
It made 428.6 thousand decalitres scaled down to 100% spirit, up 11.3% year-on-year, physically, and $30.5 mn, up 117.3%, in terms of value.
In March, Russia exported 154.4 thousand decalitres, down 0.3% year-on-year, but up 2.8% month-on-month, worth $10.8 mn, same as in March 2018 and down 0.9% month-on-month.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import into Russia during January-March grew by 9.9% year-on-year up to $574.1 mn. Cigarettes and cigars import in Q1 2019 dropped by 40.1% down to $13.6 mn.
In March, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import was up 8.2% year-on-year and down 0.3% month-on-month to $208.7 mn.
Cigarettes and cigars import was down 56.3% year-on-year and 2% month-on-month making $4.9 mn.
