According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during the first three months of 2019 Russia exported some 3.2 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, down 2.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew 11.1% up to $734.3 mn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to almost 2.5 mn tons, which is 24.3% below the result for January-March 2018. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export declined by 16.1% down to $769 mn.
Potash fertilizers export during Q1 2019 increased by 22.9% up to more than 1.6 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew even more significantly, by 53.3% up to $419.4 mn.
In March, nitric fertilizers export was down 14.9% year-on-year, but up 45.1% month-on-month making 1.3 mn tons worth $292.3 mn (down 2.7% year-on-year and up 38.3% month-on-month).
Potash fertilizers export in March grew 5.3% year-on-year and 13.6% month-on-month up to 847.4 thousand tons worth $216.6 mn, up 31.8% year-on-year and 14.4% month-on-month.
Mixed fertilizers export in March amounted to 809.9 thousand tons, down 50.1% year-on-year and 7.6% month-on-month. In terms of value, it declined 47.9% year-on-year and 10.3% month-on-month down to $248.8 mn.
