According to the RF Federal Customs Service’ statistics, during the first two months of 2019 Russia exported some 42 mn tons of crude oil, down 0.9% year-on-year. In terms of value, crude oil export declined 6.9% down to $18.1 bn.
Oil products export in January-February decreased by 6.7% down to 25.1 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 9.6% to $11.4 bn.
Diesel fuel export made about 8.8 mn tons in terms of tonnage (-2.7% year-on-year) and $4.7 bn in terms of value (-3.6%).
Petrol export in January-February dropped 17% year-on-year down to 693.3 thousand tons worth $362.2 mn, down 23.4%.
In February alone, crude oil export from Russia made some 20.6 mn tons, up 6.9% year-on-year, but down 0.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 3.5% year-on-year and by 5.6% month-on-month up to $9.2 bn.
Oil products export in February was up 0.5% year-on-year and down 5.4% month-on-month amounting to 12.1 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 3.1% year-on-year and 3.3% month-on-month making $5.6 mn.
Diesel fuel export declined 2.2% year-on-year, but grew 12.6% month-on-month amounting to 4.6 mn tons worth $2.5 bn (-2.3% year-on-year and +15.2% month-on-month).
Car petrol export dropped 24.9% year-on-year, but increased 4.9% month-on-month up to 355 thousand tons worth $190.4 mn (-28.6% year-on-year and +10.8% month-on-month).
Natural gas export in January-February amounted to 38.5 cbm, up 9.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, it grew 29.5% up to $9.2 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export during the first two months of the year surged 82% year-on-year up to 20.2 mn tons, its value was up 2.2-fold making $1.4 bn.
In February, natural gas export increased 16.1% year-on-year and 10.4% month-on-month up to 20.2 cbm worth $4.7 bn (+32.3% year-on-year and +5.7% month-on-month)
LNG export in February amounted to 3.7 mn cbm, up 54.2% year-on-year and down 31.5% month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export surged 2.1-fold year-on-year, but declined 8.4% month-on-month making $687.7 mn.
