Yury Gilts has been appointed new Managing Director of Volga Shipping Company. He started in his new position as of April 16.
He will also continue in his current position of Managing Director of North-Western Shipping Company. Both the companies are part of the shipping division of UCL Holding.
Alexander Shishkin, who has been at the helm of Volga Shipping for over 19 years, has been appointed counsel to the CEO of UCL Holding Management Company and elected Chairman of the Company Board.
Yu.Gilts worked with Murmansk Shipping Company and Northern Shipping Company, and for over 10 years held managerial positions in FESCO Group before being appointed as MD of North-West Shipping Co in 2017.
A.Shishkin has been with Volga Shipping since 1976, first as a navigator and later, as a master, before moving to shore-based managerial position. During 2000-2019, he was MD of the company.
