SeaLand Europe & Med (Maersk Line) is launching a new service to St. Petersburg. According to Maersk Russia, the rotation will be as follows: Wilhelmshaven – Bremerhaven – Klaipeda – Rauma – St. Petersburg (FCT) – Wilhelmshaven.
The service will deploy two of the new ice-classed container vessels Maersk built for the Baltic, “Vuoksi Maersk” and “Vilnia Maersk”, the fifth and the sixth in the series.
The first voyage is to commence on March 18.
- In addition to launching the new service, Maersk is also making changes to the rotation of its other Baltic services as follow:
- Bremerhaven – Hamburg – Gdynia – Gdansk – Tallinn – St. Petersburg – Gdansk – Gdynia – Bremerhaven;
- Bremerhaven – Ust-Luga – Helsinki – Tallinn – Sillamaë – Bremerhaven;
- Gdansk – Kaliningrad – St. Petersburg – Gdansk;
- Hamburg – Wilhelmshaven – Bremerhaven – Copenhagen – Dansk – Norrkoping – Gavle – Hamburg;
- Gdansk – Riga – Gdansk.
