According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during the full year of 2018 Russia’s export of vodka made 2.2 mn decalitres scaled down to 100% spirit. This is 5.7% above the figure for 2017.
In terms of value, vodka export in 2018 was up 10.7% to $149.5 mn.
In December 2018, vodka export surged 29.5% month-on-month up to 301.2 thousand decalitres.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages import during 2018 grew by 7.6% year-on-year up to $2.7 bn.
Cigarettes and cigars import was down by 10.4% to $168.9 mn.
Raw tobacco import in December made 14 thousand tons, up 3.7% month-on-month.
