According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during the full year of 2018 Russia exported some 14 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 8.5% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew 19.2% up to some $2.8 bn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 11.3 mn tons, which is 7.9% above the result for 2017. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export grew by 23,8% up to $3.4 bn dollars.
At the same time, potash fertilizers export dropped 19.9% down to over 8.8 mn tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it decreased by 4.5% down to $2 bn.
Fertilizers consumption in the Russian domestic market grew by 9% to 3.4 mn tons, the growth being supported by low taxes and high demand.
