According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-October 2018 Russia exported 38.4 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 11.5% year-on-year.
In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew 29.9% up to $19.5 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export increased 12.1% up to 13.1 mn tons. In terms of value, this commodity export was up 38.9% to $6.7 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export declined 4.9% down to 6.9 mn tons. In terms of value, iron and unalloyed steel flat section export increased 11.8% up to $4.8 bn. Cast iron export grew 28.9% up to 4.6 mn tons. In terms of value, cast iron export surged 42.3% up to some $1.7 bn.
Ferroalloys export was up 7.9% to 666.6 thousand tons worth $1.1 bn (+3.3%).
