Фрахтовый рынок Азовского и Каспийского моря. Неделя 45 2018

Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 45, 2018

  • The market dive in the Sea of Azov continues to deepen this week due to weak trade especially on Turkish destinations.

Open tonnage is well showed all over the market, according to Rufco shipbrokers. The recent weather delays and coal shipments are providing some sort of support to the falling market.

Night temperatures at Azov / Rostov would pass freezing point during next week, but the monthly forecast yet looks promising and no ice formation is expected for November.

According to Rufco, freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov make $26-27 per ton.

Freight rates from Rostov to SE Black Sea ports are $24-25 per ton.

In the Caspian, the newly released sanctions are quite severe and would definitely affect the shipping sector here. Nevertheless, the demand from Iranian buyers is still rising and this keeps rates on the high side.

The current freight rates from Astrakhan to Iran remain at $40-44 per ton.

Please note that the rates cited in this article are average market rates. We ask our readers to pay attention that this information is not a commercial offer and cannot be an example for comparison in commercial disputes and arbitration proceedings.
