Murmansk Shipping Company said in a statement that the “Novaya Zemlya” bulker that was reportedly detained in Denmark left the roadstead of Skagen on September 5 and continued its voyage.
The vessel is en route to the port of bunkering to take on bunkers and supplies, and then will proceed to the port of loading.
In the near future the vessel will be deployed in the Arctic region.
There are 19 crew members on board. The crew will be changed in the port of loading.
According to MSCo, the crew has enough supplies for normally operating the ship, there is no threat to their life and health, or to the safety of operations and the environment.
‘As for the rest of the fleet, the company is taking all necessary measures to ensure ship supplies, crew repatriation and continuation of normal fleet operations’, the company said.
