Azov and Caspian Freight Market, week 13

  • The Sea of Azov market has showed small correction. More and more open positions are appearing in the market but the overall activity remains high yet.

    Freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov remain $35-36 per ton and from Yeisk $34-35 per ton.

    Freight rates to SE Black Sea ports make $34-35 per ton from Rostov and $33-34 from Yeisk.

    According to Rufco shipbrokers, Kavkaz STS operations are again gathering a great number of vessels.

    Caspian rates have corrected further. River shipments from mid-Volga ports are very active and inviting owners to fix for April dates both to Iran and Turkey.

    Freight rates from Astrakhan to Iran are down to $33-37 per ton.
