According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January 2018 Russia imported 33.14 thousand tons of meat and meat products, up 20% year-on-year.
Canned meat and processed meat products import declined 22.5% down to 900 tons.
Fresh and frozen poultry import decreased 5.5% down to 16.4 thousand tons.
Fish import grew 25.7% up to 39.3 thousand tons.
Milk and condensed cream import dropped 41.6% year-on-year down to 41.6% to 12.7 thousand tons.
Butter import declined 30% down to 5.9 thousand tons. Cheese and cottage cheese import made 16.7 thousand tons.
Vegetable oils import grew 28.1% to 900 tons. Palm oil import made as much as 72.7 thousand tons.
Citrus fruit import declined 2% down to 193.3 thousand tons. Apple import made 83.9 thousand tons, and banana import was 141.6 thousand tons.
Raw sugar import in January was down 8.9% to just 400 tons, while white sugar import surged 32% up to 25.7 thousand tons.
Coffee import was up 12.8% to 15.9 thousand tons and tea import up 19.3% to 12.3 thousand tons.
