First Grain Shipment via New Grain Terminal in Vyssotsk

  • Rusagrotrans, part of Demetra Holding, has been the first rail operator to deliver a shipment of wheat to the new grain terminal in the port of Vyssotsky in the Eastern Gulf of Finland.

    Out of the 27,500 tons, more than 3,000 tons was carried from Omsk region, the rest came from Kazakhstan, the company said in a statement. The grain is loaded directly on board the ship without storage in the silo park.

    Before mid-May, Rusagrotrans is to deliver a similar shipment of wheat to the Port Vyssotsky terminal.

    By the end of Q2 2023, Port Vyssotsky will be capable of handling three trains and unload up to 200 railcars a day, and to store 240,000 tons in the silo park.

    The project capacity of the terminal is 4 mln tons annually.
