According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-April 2018 Russia exported about almost 5.8 bn cbm of logs, down 7.4% year-on-year.
In terms of value, logs export was up 6.7% making $511.2 mn.
Sawn goods export made 5.7 mn tons, up 3.6% year-on-year. In terms of value, sawn goods export grew 19.6% up to $1.38 bn.
Plywood export increased 9.9% to 894.1 thousand cbm physically and 31.3% up to $702.1 mn in term of value.
Wood pulp export grew 8.4% up to 327.4 thousand tons physically and surged 54.2% to $493.9 mn in terms of value.
Newsprint export declined 1.2% to 356.7 thousand tons physically. In terms of value, it increased 16.6% up to $172.3 mn.
