TransContainer has launched a new container train between Rostov-na-Donu and Vladivostok for domestic cargo.
The first train carrying 67 TEU loaded with consumer goods left Rostov on May 26.
Cargo is collected from Rostov, Volgodonsk, Azov and other cities in the Rostov Region, as well as from Krasnodar Kray and Volgograd Region, and destined for Vladivostok and other cities in Primorsky Kray and Petropalovak-Kamchatsky.
The transit time is 11 days, the next train s scheduled in a two weeks’ time.
After the test run is completed, the service is to be provided on a regular basis twice a month, and later, weekly.
No back load is so far planned, but this option is being considered taking into account the interest on the part of importers from APR in the Rostov Region.
