According to the RF Federal Customs Statistics, during January-February 2018 Russia imported 13.2 mn pairs of leather footwear, up 33.5% year-on-year.
In terms of value, leather footwear import increased 30.2% up to $332.2 mn.
Clothes import also grew, up 21.6% to $1.1 bn.
Cotton fabric import surged 69.5% up to 53.9 mn sqm. In terms of value, it increased 34.9% up to $26.3 mn.
Cotton fabric export from Russia was up 36.5% up to 13.2 mn sqm and up 36.8% to $7.8 mn in terms of value.
