Zabaikalsk Grain Terminal Takes Delivery of First Special Purpose Containers

  • Zabaikalsk Grain Terminal has taken delivery of the first batch of specialized containers manufactured and certified in accordance with the technical specifications of the New Land-Based Grain Corridor Group, the Group said in a statement.

With new grain containers shipments via the terminal will become regular, as the park of specialized units solves the problem of absence of such equipment suitable for transporting large quantities of grain both in Russia and in China.

The project envisages building a park of specialized containers capable of transporting up to 600,000 tons of grain at a time and up to 8 mn tons annually.

The equipment will be used to carry grain to China and other commodities from China.
