The State Hydrographic and Navigation Research Institute has completed research on developing the navigation and hydrographic support infrastructure for the Northern Sea Route commissioned by the Hydrographic Enterprise.
The research analyses the hydrographic knowledge of the Northern Sea Route and offers a plan for new hydrographic research till 2035.
The Institute has also recommended an optimal configuration of navigation aids for the Northern Sea Route.
