Vanino Handles First Shipment of Ferrosilicon

  • Bratsk Ferroalloys Plant, part of Mechel Group, has exported the first shipment of ferrosilicon via the port of Vanino. 2,000 tons of ferrosilicon used to make high strength steel was loaded on aboard a ship to carry it to Japan.

    Previously, Bratsk Ferroalloys Plant exported its products designated for APR countries via the ports of Vladivostok and Nakhodka.

    The company said the new route will allow of expanding its export potential and cutting transportation expenses.
