According to the RF Federal Customs Service, Russia’s crude oil export in January-June 2021 was down 10.9% year-on-year to 11.4 mn tons. In terms of value, crude oil export increased by 22.7% year-on-year making $47.6 bn.
Oil products export declined slightly by 0.3% down to 74.7 mn tons. In terms of value it was up 26.3% to over $31.9 bn.
Diesel fuel export made 25.9 mn tons in terms of tonnage (-6.2% year-on-year) and more than $12 bn in terms of value (+8.1%).
Petrol export in January-June 2021 decreased by 23.9% year-on-year down to 2.8 bn tons worth $1.4 bn, down 2.9%.
In June, Russia exported 22.7 mn tons of crude oil, up 11.8% year-on-year and up 21.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, crude oil export surged 2.1-fold year-on-year and increased by 29.8% month-on-month to make $10.9 bn.
Oil products export in June declined by 14.4% year-on-year and by 2.7% month-on-month to make 12.3 mn tons worth more than $6 bn (up 93.7% year-on-year and up 2% month-on-month).
Diesel fuel export made 4.1 mn tons (down 10.9% year-on-year and up 0.2% month-on-month) worth $2.2 bn (up 82.4% year-on-year and up 5.4% month-on-month).
Car petrol export in June declined by 53% year-on-year and by 20.3% month-on-month making 324.8 thousand tons worth $198.6 mn, down 0.9% year-on-year and down 15.5% month-on-month.
Natural gas export in January-June 2021 amounted to 108.4 bn cbm, up 19% year-on-year. In terms of value, it also increased, by 71.1% up to more than $20 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export during January-May 2021 increased by 7.3% year-on-year up to 35.3 mn cbm, its value was down 15.9% to $3.3 bn.
In June, natural gas export made 15.7 bn cbm, up 13.8% year-on-year and level with May this year. Value-wise, it was worth $3.6 bn, up 3.1-fold year-on-year and up 13.4% month-on-month.
LNG export in June amounted to 12.1 mn cbm surging 2.3-fold year-on-year and 40.3-fold month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export grew 2.5-fold year-on-year and 45.8-fold month-on-month making $1.4 bn.
