According to the RF Federal Customs Service, Russia’s crude oil export in January-May 2021 was down 15.9% year-on-year to 87.7 mn tons. In terms of value, crude oil export increased by 7.7% year-on-year making $36.3 bn.
Oil products export grew by 3.2% up to 62.1 mn tons. In terms of value it was up 16.9% to over $25.9 bn.
Diesel fuel export made 21.8 mn tons in terms of tonnage (-5% year-on-year) and $9.9 bn in terms of value (-0.7%).
Petrol export in January-May 2021 decreased by 17.3% year-on-year down to 2.5 bn tons worth about $1.2 bn, down 3.2%.
In May, Russia exported 18.6 mn tons of crude oil, down 3.4% year-on-year and up 37.4% month-on-month. In terms of value, crude oil export surged 2.3-fold year-on-year and increased by 42.7% month-on-month to make $8.4 bn.
Oil products export in May grew by 12.7% year-on-year and by 0.2% month-on-month to make 12.7 mn tons worth more than $5.9 bn (up 2.2-fold year-on-year and up 4.3% month-on-month).
Diesel fuel export made 4.1 mn tons (down 14.3% year-on-year and down 11.6% month-on-month) worth $2.1 bn (up 61.4% year-on-year and down 8.5% month-on-month).
Car petrol export in May declined by 42.4% year-on-year and by30.6% month-on-month making 407.6 thousand tons worth $235 mn, up 23.2% year-on-year and down 25.1% month-on-month.
Natural gas export in January-May 2021 amounted to 91.4 bn cbm, up 25.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, it also increased, by 67.7% up to $16.2 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export during January-May 2021 decreased by 15.9% year-on-year down to 23.2 mn cbm, its value was down 43% to $1.92 bn.
In May, natural gas export made 15.7 bn cbm, up 31.9% year-on-year and down 11.8% month-on-month. Value-wise, it was worth $3.1 bn, up 2.8-fold year-on-year and down 5% month-on-month.
LNG export in May amounted to 0.3 mn cbm dropped by 95.9% year-on-year and by 96.5% month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export declined by 96.9% year-on-year and by 95.5% month-on-month making $30.2 mn.
